Spinning the Portland Stabbings

On Friday, Jeremy Christian started ranting at a pair of Muslim women on a train.  Several men attempted to intervene, at which point Christian stabbed them, killing two and injuring one.  This story in the Washington Post offers a lot of added information that was first filtered through other sources.  For example, The Portland Mercury states that he was a "known right wing extremist and white supremacist."  Right-wing?  Are they saying he is a Republican?  That is the implication.  Of course, there is also a picture of him giving a Nazi salute and Nazis are invariably described as right wing despite being National Socialists.  Reading further, some information about Christian's Facebook page - provided by the notorious Southern Poverty Law Center - exposes him as a racist, white supremacist who hails Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, as a hero and a patriot.  However, SPLC fails to reveal that the Facebook page shows Christian was a supporter of Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein, a couple of Socialists.  Huh.  I'm sure that was unintentional.

 

On Twitter, Jill Stein complained that this was a "tragedy in Trump's America."  If she only read the Washington Post, her conclusion that Christian is a Trump supporter is not unreasonable.  However, another post that the SLPC didn't provide declared Christian's opposition to pipelines (presumably Keystone XL and Dakota Access) and the prison/military industrial complex, both popular left-wing views.  As for white supremacists, the KKK was founded by Democrats.

Election Challenge!

Jill Stein has been raising money for a recount of several states, notably Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.  If all three could be flipped to Hillary, the election results flip too.  Interestingly, one of the initial reasons given for the recount was the possibility of voting machines being hacked.  Michigan still uses paper ballots and thus is immune to Russian hackers.  Hmm.

What would it take to flip the results?  The margin in Michigan is 10,704 votes, a mere two tenths of a percent of the vote.  It's a close margin.  Not as close as Florida in 2000, but still very close for the number of votes cast.  Let's say the campaign finds errors and fraud that erases that gap and puts Michigan in the Democrat column.  Now Hillary has 248 electoral votes to Trump's 290.  Moving on to Wisconsin, the margin is 27,257, about nine tenths of a percent of the vote.  That's a pretty decent margin.  Yes, close but that is a hard gap to bridge.  In fact, if that gap were to be bridged, all faith in the election would be shattered.  But let's say, through some miracle of missing ballots in Milwaukee, Hillary wins a squeaker in the recount.  She now has 258 electoral votes to Trump's 280.  Still lost.  Very well, let's move on to Pennsylvania where the margin is 68,236 votes, a 1.1% margin in the votes cast.  That is an unassailable margin.  If that flips as well, there will be a civil war.

 

There is no way for Hillary to win without triggering massive unrest.  The Hillary campaign knows this and has nonetheless signed on to Jill Stein's quixotic effort.  With a change of the results being impossible, why bother?  Because it helps to undermine the coming Trump Presidency.  Much as the Florida fiasco of 2000 led to George W Bush implementing Democrat-lite policies and even keeping many Clinton appointees in his administration, this challenge plants the idea that Trump didn't really win.  He lost the popular vote.  There were irregularities in three states that would have handed the presidency to Hillary.  Seeds of doubt planted in the interregnum may blossom into an opposition movement next year.

 

It is true of all leftists that the will of the voters only matters when they vote for the Democrat.  If they vote for the other party, the voters were fooled, voted against their interests, or were misled by fake news.  Such reversals of fortune on account of ill-informed voters is why so many politicians are expressing envy for Castro.  Fidel didn't have to put up with stupid voters picking the wrong candidate.

Silly Dr. Stein, Law Only Apply to Little People

Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party has tweeted about the continuing WikiLeaks regarding Hillary's emails.  Certainly no right-winger, she wonders just how much more evidence the government needs to press charges against Hillary.  Of course, no amount of evidence is going to change the DOJ or FBI position on the case because laws are for the little people.  Like this guy.

 

A machinist aboard the USS Alexandria in 2009, he took pictures of the submarine that he shouldn't have.  When interviewed by the FBI, he deleted them.  He will get an other than honorable discharge and serve a year in prison.  His lawyer offered the Hillary Defense.  Hillary had far more sensitive and confidential material on a private server, some of which she deleted, and the FBI declined to take any action other then doling out immunity to all those involved.  You see, the navy seaman is little people and laws apply to him.

 

The Rule of Law is circling the drain.  Nixon had to resign for far less and the country was furious that he was pardoned.  Hillary is above the law.

Vast Rightwing Conspiracy Expands?

Dr. Jill Stein, the Green Party nominee for president, just made the case against Hillary Clinton.  From discussing the now exposed pay-to-play emails that Hillary had deleted from her private server (because it didn't apply to her job as Secretary of State) and the extremely careless handling of top secret information on that same server, the Green Party holds that investigation is fully justified.  Like many on the right, she observed that FBI Director Comey laid out a compelling indictment in his statement and later in his testimony before Congress to only then say there was no reason to indict.  Huh?  All this from a woman who volunteered to step aside and allow the self-identified socialist Bernie Sanders to take the reins of the Green Party; he declined and bought a third home for $600,000; some comrades are more equal.  From the Green Party point of view, Hillary is a right winger.  Yes, it appears that the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy that Hillary uncovered nearly 20 years ago has expanded to the Vast Right to Far Left Wing Conspiracy that is now after her.

 

For years I have been told that I need to listen to both sides on an issue, Right and Left, because the truth lies somewhere in the middle.  Interesting.  The right says that Hillary committed crimes and the left says Hillary committed crimes.  Somewhere in between those two viewpoints is the truth.
