The Trump-Musk Break-Up

From strong allies to mortal enemies in nothing flat.  Elon does not approve of the Big Beautiful Bill that continues to spend the country into bankruptcy and Donald isn't so keen on the sudden disloyalty from one of his top supporters through the campaign and early administration.  The spat quickly elevated and now has Musk claiming that Trump is on the Epstein List, thus explaining why it still hasn't been released.  Yes, this break-up has gone nuclear.

I am highly doubtful that Trump is on the list.  If he was, the Biden Administration would surely have released that snippet of the list along with any damning pictures and video.

Ghislaine Maxwell placed on suicide watch

Jeffery Epstein was also on suicide watch and that did wonders for him.  It is interesting that no one else has been prosecuted.  Surely, someone other than Epstein and Maxwell engaged in sex with the many underage girls that Maxwell procured.  Prince Andrew is an obvious client but bringing him to trial would be an international incident.  Is there no one else?  It certainly looks like the elite clientele have arranged to protect themselves.  When Epstein's misdeeds could be swept under the rug more than a decade ago, they were.  When they could not be swept under the rug again, he was found dead in his cell.

If Ms. Maxwell is found dead in her cell in the near future, I will not be surprised.  That says something about the state of the republic.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the woman who procured minors for Jeffrey Epstein, has been found guilty.  Good news.  On a related topic, the guards who notably failed to prevent Epstein's suicide and sought to cover up their failure by falsifying records were also in the news.  Yes, the charges against them have been dropped.  Nothing to see here.  I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but really?

Was Epstein the only person who engaged in sex with the minors that Maxwell acquired?  Epstein had dealings with people high up in government, academics, and even British royalty.  Some names - Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Alan Dershowitz, Prince Andrew - have been revealed.  These are people of power and it is likely that they would want this case closed.  That the case against the guards has been dropped gives the impression that the Epstein Scandal is being swept under the rug.

Move along.  Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Suicide or Murder?

Jeffery Epstein's death has been fodder for conspiracy theories.  No sooner had the man been arrested than there were claims - half in jest - that he would not survive to trial.  He had dirt on too many rich and powerful people.  Less than a month after his arrest, he was found barely conscious on the floor with bruising on his neck.  Failed suicide?  No determination was made though he was put on suicide watch in the wake of that incident.  A couple weeks later, he's dead of suicide and there are a list of procedures that were not followed.

 

He had already failed at a suicide attempt so heightened security is a no brainer.

 

Guards did not check on him every 30 minutes.  There was a 3 hour window where he was not checked.

 

Guards falsified records.

 

Prisoners with a suicide risk are assigned a cellmate but Epstein was alone.

 

Is it any wonder that there are conspiracy theories that he was murdered to keep him quiet, from cutting a deal with prosecutors to reduce his sentence?  If there was ever a prisoner that the Bureau of Prisons should have kept safe, this was the one.  Epic fail.

 

Suicide or murder?  Almost certainly the answer is suicide.  Epstein was a brilliant guy and had plenty of time to plot his death and find the ideal moment.  If the choice is between criminal conspiracy or government incompetence, I'll choose incompetence every time.  Whitey Bulger was killed within hours of being transferred to a US Penitentiary in West Virginia last year.  More government incompetence.
