Just read a crazy conspiracy theory on Facebook that says Obama wants Hillary to win and then get indicted. Once indicted, she will be barred from office. Now this would have to happen after the Electoral College voted. If not, they could choose someone who wasn't indicted, most likely Tim Kane. Anyway, with the president elect unable to assume office, Obama would just serve an additional four years. Seriously? Someone is suggesting this?
There is a clear line of succession. If the President is unable to serve, the VP takes over. If the VP is unable, the Speaker of the House takes over. If the Speaker is unable, the President of the Senate takes over. And so on.
Also, Hillary's indictment does not bar her from being inaugurated. She has not been found guilty. Sure, she may face impeachment immediately but she can still take the oath of office.
Regardless of the outcome, Barack Obama's Presidency will come to an end on January 20, 2017.
